I am fortunate enough to live close to the Norfolk coast as well as the Norfolk Broads. When I say ‘close’ to the Norfolk coast I mean I am far enough away from it to avoid the damage the salty air does to cars (i.e. accelerates the rusting process) and far enough away to not feel the biting easterly winter winds but close enough that I can jump in my car (or even jump on my bicycle) and reach the sandy beaches whenever I want.
Whilst I would like to wake up in the morning with a North Sea view (in the warm summer months of course) I feel I am in the best location.
In a bid to demonstrate just how fortunate I am below are a sample of photos taken around the coast:-
All of the above photos are available to buy as prints, posters, canvases and the like, as well as being available on various home furnishing products (pillows, shower curtains and bedding) and other items too. If you have any interest in any of the above simply click on the link.
Most of the photos above were captured using a Canon 7d combined with a Canon 10 – 22 wide angle lens, which is a great camera/lens combination for coastal photography. For a review of the Canon 10 – 22 wide-angle lens take a look at this article.
Another lens used in the above is the Canon 100 – 400L IS USM lens, which is another awesome lens that is versatile and can be used for various things, including motor sports photography, wildlife photography, travel photography and for photographing dragonflies.
