The DJI Spark drone is available to buy on its own or part of a package, called the DJI Spark Fly More Combo. If you are thinking about buying a DJI Spark then please, please, please don’t make the same mistake I did and buy the DJI Spark on its own.
If you don’t buy the Fly More Combo I guarantee you will regret it and every time you have to part with your hard earned money buying an accessory that is included in the Fly More Combo you will(if you are like me) get more and more bitter. The DJI Spark Fly More Combo is a great deal and will save you a whole heap of cash.
Why the Fly More Combo?
Other than the Spark drone the DJI Spark fly more combo includes:
I should point out that the cost of the accessories above are taken from a reliable and reputable online store and that you can get the above accessories for less money on the, what I would call, dodgy/unreliable/rip-off/counterfeit websites. The websites I wouldn’t touch with a barge pole and would never recommend.
The DJI Spark Fly More Combo is available for around £600 from Amazon.com or £630 from Warehouse Express. With this in mind the extra accessories in the Fly More package cost around £140 if you buy the combo from Amazon or £180 if you buy the combo from Warehouse Express.
If you do what I did, and buy the DJI Spark drone on its own all of the extra accessories will cost a whopping £403! Buying the DJI Spark Fly More package gives an overall saving of £223 - £263, which is a lot of money. I have no interest in the Propeller guards so the saving I would have made is £25 less, but even still…..
All of the accessories included in the Fly More Combo are useful (even the propeller guards that are of little interest to me) and some of the accessories are essential and you will end up buying them anyway. Once you start flying the Spark I guarantee you will soon be paying out for an additional battery (you will soon use the 12min – 16min flight time), the battery charging hub (charging one battery at a time is a real faff) and some spare propellers (these are easy to break).
Having to dig a bit deeper and stump up the extra £140 - £180 at the outset may be a difficult but if you can stretch that far you should definitely do it as it makes financial sense. Having to pay a bit more at the outset may be a bitter pill to swallow but it is far more frustrating when you go and buy the extra accessories you would have got had you bought the Fly More Combo in the first instance, and pay through the nose doing it.
If you want a DJI Spark drone, and I highly recommend it, don't make the same mistake I did and buy just the Spark. If I had my time again I would dig a little deeper and buy the Spark Flymore combo in the first instance.
