"The Canon 35mm f2 v Yongnuo 35mm f2 shoot out"
The 35mm focal length is a popular one and a 35mm lens is one that all photographers should have in their lens bag. If you shoot a Canon camera there are a few different 35mm lenses available but, unless you have loads of spare cash laying around to spend on a 35mm lens, there are two that should be at the top of your list, and these two 35mm lenses are the Canon 35mm f2 and the Yongnuo 35mm f2 lenses.
The Canon 35mm f2 and Yongnuo 35mm f2 lenses side by side:-
Directly comparing the Canon 35mm f2 IS lens and the Yongnuo 35mm f2 lens is a little unfair since the two lenses are aimed at different markets. The Canon 35mm f2 IS lens is a mid-market lens aimed at enthusiasts wanting a lens that is capable of capturing stunning photos, whereas the Yongnuo 35mm f2 lens is a bottom end market lens aimed at beginners and those who want a good value for money lens that is capable of capturing good photos.
The Canon 35mm f2 IS lens is tougher and more robust (i.e. built to a higher standard), has superior image quality, has image stabilization and is also expensive (and far more expensive than that). The Canon 35mm f2 IS lens is clearly the better lens out of the two, but this doesn’t necessarily make it the best buy or best choice.
There are many things you need to consider before parting with your hard earned money and buying a lens including your style of photography, the types of photos you want to take and your budget among other things.
